We offer educational programs that include exciting hands-on activities that align with badge requirements. Our Overnight Programs are an exciting way for scouts to have fun and learn about science, technology, engineering, math, robotics, and aviation. Scouts sleep beneath our SR-71 "Blackbird" and wake up to the sights of an amazing aircraft!

Offerings for Scouts BSA

These overnight experiences are for youth 11-17 years old. During these overnights scouts have the opportunity to earn their merit badge. The Museum does not meet every merit badge requirement. Please check each individual overnight for requirements that should be completed prior to attending the overnight.

  • Aviation: Through this in-depth hands-on overnight, scouts will learn the principles of flight and navigation, as well as build FPG-9 gliders and perform a pre-flight inspection.

Overnight Policies

Each Troop is authorized ONE point of contact to register and pay for ALL scouts and adults attending the overnight IN ADVANCE, preferably using the Troop account. This should be coordinated at the Troop level before attempting to register.

No scout may be left at the museum without coordinated responsible adult supervision.

• Dinner - The Museum does not provide dinner during the overnight. It is the responsibility of the group to eat dinner beforehand.

• Breakfast - Starting in 2020 the Museum will no longer provide breakfast during overnights.

Late Arrival Policy - Doors are locked promptly at 6:00 PM. Please arrive by 5:30 PM to start check-in for the overnight. Due to the disruption of activities, late arrivals will not be able to participate in the overnight.

Pricing - Starting in 2020 $40 per scout, $40 per leader/chaperone.

Payment - Payment is due upon registration, and all sales are final, as this money is used to purchase resources necessary for overnights. In order to provide the best experience possible for our scouts, space is limited in each overnight.
