Apollo 11 Moon Landing 50th Anniversary Celebration

Join us at 9 a.m. for the 50th anniversary celebration of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing. The celebration begins at 9 a.m. with Retired Astronaut Clayton Anderson taking the stage for a presentation about the future of space flight. The Apollo 11 Moon Landing Celebration includes hands-on activities featuring a walk on the moon through virtual reality, make and keep a planet, take a picture with an inflatable Astronaut, watch a free planetarium show and the Apollo 11 launch video. At 10 a.m. the Museum’s newest exhibit Space: Humanity’s Longest Journey will open. The exhibit includes art and artifacts themed from a time when humans curiosity with the skies led to the space race between the United States and the Soviet Union.
There is no need for reservations and the event is included with your general admission to the Museum. Adults $12, military/seniors $11, kids 4-12 yo $6, and kids 3 and under are free.
