Come and learn about iconic aircraft of World War II, the B-17 & A-26 on March 16, 2019. Beginning at 10 a.m. a presentation will be given from our curators on Capt. Lee Seemann and his experiences with the B-17 Flying Fortress and his harrowing ditch into the North Sea. Our Curator will share from our collection; survival items common to WWII flight crews, binoculars belonging to Capt. Seemann and flight log from B-17 Navigator, Lt. Delbert Ligon. The aircraft will be opened for public viewing immediately following the presentation where our staff will point out specific features and the different uses of the B-17 and the A-26 Invader. Due to safety concerns, aircraft interiors will be view only, no entering allowed. The event will end at 2 p.m.
